Lundia was established in 1985 as a furniture store but specialising in supplying ergonomic furniture and accessories. As the recognition grew of the importance of good design and ergonomics more business customers were supplied.
Now we still supply domestic customers but mainly local and national businesses, and government organisations. We can offer solutions for home and office including seating, desks, modular shelving, meeting tables and accessories.
We also offer Workplace Assessments where our qualified DSE Workstation Assessor can visit your workplace to advise on your working environment. Therefore offering a specialised service making sure that you have the correct solution to your individual requirements.

Lundia Corporate Responsibility
It gives me great pleasure to introduce our first Corporate Responsibility report, which outlines our commitment to the environment, our society and our business.
Lundia is proud of our corporate responsibility programme and we are pleased to be able to share what we are doing with you in our first report. In this report we can share our achievements to date, and show you the goals we have set for ourselves. Some of them we have already met this year.
Although Lundia is a relatively small business, we understand our position in the global picture...treating our employees, the environment and the community in which we operate with the same creativity, quality and high standards of ethics that we put into our products and services.
Corporate Responsibility is about being responsible and caring about each and every area in which we all work
1. Being responsible about how we treat the natural environment and how we use and sustain it's resources, 2. Caring about the community in which we work and trying to make improvements wherever we operate, 3. It's about ensuring it is a safe, happy and creative place in which to work for all employees, 4. We want to ensure a financially stable environment for all employees, customers and suppliers via successful and profitable trading performances.
We provide quality and fit-for-purpose products that customers can rely on to help them improve their quality of life and performance of their business.
Where we are now... After 25 years of business we have built a reputation for quality and exceptional service. This commenced primarily with domestic customers and is now a diverse mix of domestic customers, commercial and government organisations.
Where we are going? o We will continue to invest in people, training and improvements. o We want to develop and nurture long term relationships to better understand the customers we supply to provide a more comprehensive and proactive service, and specialised products. o Increase turnover by over 5% per year.

Sustainability and Environment
Lundia understands the importance of reducing damage to the world and making use of the earth's resources in a sustainable way. Using Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) and recycled products is core to ensuring this sustainability. Lundia's carbon footprint is made up of our natural resources, energy use, waste and transport - we are committed to reducing this.
Where we are now... o Approx 20% of our timber products are being made from FSC accredited resources o 100% of power usage is on a Green Tariff o 100% of recylable card, paper & packaging is re-used or recycled. o Minimal waste is sent to landfill o Staff travel to/from work was 7% in 2008 by public transport/cycling/walking
Where we are going? o Biodegradable film wrap to be phased in by 2010 o A reduction in the use of packaging on our products o 25% of staff travel to/from work by public transport/cycling/walking o To be carbon neutral by 2010 o Post-1989 carbon emissions balanced with carbon absortion projects by 2020. o Reduce our energy use by 10% by 2012 o Recycle 95% of all solid waste by 2012
Community
Lundia recognises the positive impact we can have on communities and charities where we operate - i.e. volunteer programmes, charity donations and regeneration projects.
Where we are now... o 2009 Support for local charities: Donations to Shipton Pre-school & Toddlers Group, Donation to fundraising for Ward 24 (Neurology / Stroke) of Bradford Royal Infirmary
Where we are going? o We will continue to support charities within the areas we operate o Undertake a Community Cleanup to remove rubbish from an area of the local community o Allow our employees one paid day of leave per year to work on community and volunteer programmes
